August 21, 2019

Try these simple smoothies for ultimate skin + gut health! These drinks are an easy (and delicious) way to stay hydrated. Incorporate these vitamins into your everyday routine to help prevent dehydrated, dull, and sagging skin.

1.) Refreshing Watermelon + Mint Smoothie

Moni's easy, invigorating, antioxidant filled smoothie for glowing skin.

Ingredient Benefits: Watermelon is full of antioxidants such as lycopene, vitamin C, and A which helps reduce these free radicals that can slow down the signs of ageing. The consumption of Vitamin A can encourage growth of collagen and elastin cells that helps your skin stay young and supple.
Fresh Peppermint Leaves offer antioxidants for healthy skin as well as benefits gut health by increasing bile secretion and encourage bile flow. This helps to speed and ease digestion while also thought to relieve pain and discomfort from gas and bloating.

Honey is rich in minerals, antioxidants, probiotics, enzymes, and antibacterial properties, which act to protect and nourish damaged skin

Single Serving

4 Ice Cubes
5-10 Cubes/Balls Fresh Watermelon
1/2 tsp Honey (To Taste)
3-4 Fresh Peppermint Leaves
1/2 Cup Water

Directions: Add all ingredients in blender and pulse or blend until slushy-like consistency. Top with fresh peppermint.

2.) Antioxidant Coconut + Berries Smoothie

Bananas: Loaded with vitamins and nutrients to help metabolism and digestion, and can also promote sleep by offering the natural muscle-relaxants magnesium and potassium. (This is the perfect dessert smoothie!)

Coconut Water: Coconut water is anti-inflammatory, detoxifing, and an anti-microbial, which can help decrease incidences of acne. It can also decrease the excess oils on skin, which can help reduce breakouts.
